Admission Procedure

Admission Policy
All students must be enrolled in Spring Creek Academy by the student's parents or legal guardian who will be responsible for the student's behavior and payment of tuition and fees.

Selection of students will be based upon previous academic achievement. An entrance exam and interview with the Admissions Director will be required.

STUDENT HANDBOOK: Parents and students should read the Student Handbook carefully in order to determine if Spring Creek Academy is the right school for them.  The handbook describes the standards by which the school operates.

ADMISSIONS RESTRICTION: Spring Creek Academy is not equipped to provide for students needing special attention such as those with significant learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, etc. Students who have 1) a history of drug possession or alcoholic consumption; 2) past history of behavioral problems; or 3) have a criminal history will not be admitted. These restrictions are continuing requirements, applicable to students post admission.

Admission Procedure

1. APPLICATION: Parents must complete an application for enrollment for each student, signing the Statement of Cooperation on the application and returning it to the school office along with the student's current grades and /or transcript, immunization record, and birth certificate.
2. TESTING: All new students must take the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills examination or must provide the results from an equivalent exam within the last year and achieve an acceptable score. There is a nominal charge for testing.
3. INTERVIEW: The administrator will schedule an appointment for an interview with parents and students to discuss enrollment.
4. FINAL ACCEPTANCE: The Admissions Committee will review the application for students seeking to enter Spring Creek Academy. Parents will be notified concerning acceptance of their child(ren) after the tests and interview are completed.
